Billions of fans Googled their favorite musicians last year. Did you make the top list?
CelebTattler scoured Google search data for the top 150 artists in the United States this year. Most of the musicians who looked into 2022 have released new music or are on tour.
Despite not being the most searched celebrity of 2022, thanks to the release of her Midnights album and the announcement of her Eras tour (and subsequent ticket confusion), Taylor Swift was the highest-ranked female artist of the year on Google .

1. Taylor Swift:
Taylor Swift gets 2,100,400 monthly Google searches this year. In 2022, the star released her hit album Midnights and announced her own Eras tour, which resulted in a congressional hearing and a lawsuit against Ticketmaster after the tour failed to sell out.
2. Harry Styles:
Harry Styles generated 2,099,300 monthly Google searches in 2022. The singer and actor had a big year due to his starring role in Don’t Worry Darling (and the drama surrounding the film), his relationship with Olivia Wilde and his subsequent split from Olivia Wilde. Harry House album and North American tour.
3. Kanye West:
Kanye West had 2,050,100 monthly Google searches in 2022. This year, the rapper was banned (again) from Twitter and sparked outrage for making a series of hateful anti-Semitic comments.
4. Travis Scott:
Travis Scott had 1,959,100 monthly Google searches in 2022. This is likely due to the Astroworld tragedy in November 2021, where 10 fans died at his festival due to a lack of crowd control. He also performed at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards this year.
5. Rihanna:
Rihanna had 1,779,900 monthly Google searches in 2022. This year, she gave birth to a baby boy. It was also announced that he will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2023.
6. Billie Eilish:
Billie Eilish made 1,765,700 monthly searches on Google in 2022. Last year, she announced a new relationship with Jesse Rutherford, performed many concerts and attended many events, including the Met Gala.
7. Ariana Grande:
Ariana Grande has 1,682,900 monthly Google searches this year. In 2022, she launched a new perfume, played a few shows and continues to tease her upcoming role as Glinda in Wicked.
8. Selena Gomez:
Selena Gomez had 1,512,900 monthly Google searches in 2022. This year, she released new music, as well as the Apple documentary My Mind and Me, and her long-ago breakup with Justin Bieber.
9. Justin Bieber:
Justin Bieber had 1,493,200 monthly Google searches last year. The pop star held his Justice League world tour before it was postponed following the announcement that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
10. Dua Lipa:
Dua Lipa had 1,444,700 monthly searches in 2022. The pop star had a tumultuous year thanks to the song “Cold Heart” with Elton John. She also completed her popular Future Nostalgia World Tour.
